Becky Uptgrove RMT, Reiki Master

Becky Uptgrove (Owner/Operator) has been a massage therapist for 17 years, graduating from Canadian Therapeutic College in Burlington ON in 2005. Offering deep, therapeutic massage, Becky has worked both for herself and in chiropractic and spa settings. She started her career in Guelph ON, where she worked at Norfolk Healing Arts Centre for 10 years. This is where she was first introduced to and fell in love with reiki. She has taken Level 1, 2, 3 and master, becoming a Reiki Master in 2011. Becky fell in love with energy work and now offers treatments, such as Reiki/Massage combo and facilitating a yoga/reiki class. Both help bring clients to a deeper level of relaxation and peace for their self care and wellness needs. More recently, Becky has worked in Brantford and area as a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master for 7 years at various locations. She and her sister and business partner, Trish Leblanc, have always talked about opening a Wellness Centre for their local community, that would combine both their professional modalities of Massage Therapy and Yoga. They feel that by offering yoga classes as well as therapeutic treatments to the Brantford community, Sacred Spaces will be a safe and positive center for ANYBODY looking to nourish their mind, body and soul. We are so blessed to be able to open 'our dream' and bring the community together.

Laryn Hussey, RMT

I grew up in a small town and that meant when you were old enough, everyone worked in Agriculture. I have picked everything from corn to strawberries to rocks. I spent my high school years working in tobacco; many valuable lessons were learned during those cold fall mornings. I attended Guelph University and studied Psychology and then decided to join the automotive world. I worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Cambridge and Woodstock building doors for ten years with the last five years spent as a Team Member Relations Specialist.

When I had my daughter, I thought it was time to leave the corporate world and do something that fulfilled my passion of helping people. I went back to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist. I enjoy working with people of all ages, but especially children as well as pre and post natal.

My hobbies include traveling, reading and spending time with my dog and daughter outside in the sunshine.
